You can permanently delete your TasteBud Kitchen account and associated data at any time — directly in the app, or by emailing us.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (instant)
- Open the TasteBud Kitchen app and sign in.
- Tap your profile icon (top right) to open My Profile.
- Go to the ⚙️ Account tab.
- Under Danger Zone, type DELETE to confirm and tap Delete My Account.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email support@tastebudkitchen.app from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify your identity and delete your account, typically within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile (name, bio, city, preferences) and login.
- Your cookbooks, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry, equipment, and cook history.
- Your recipe photos.
- Your community posts and your submissions to the Official TasteBud Cookbook.
- Your premium-request and feedback records associated with your account.
This cannot be undone. Active subscriptions are billed by the App Store / Google Play — cancel your subscription there separately to stop future charges.
Data retention
We delete your personal data promptly upon request. Limited records may be retained only where required by law (e.g., transaction/tax records held by the app stores) or in anonymized/aggregated form that no longer identifies you.
